Sparkle #173: Travel Wishlist – India Edition

It is so much fun to create a travel wishlist for the year. Last year, Paris was right at the top of my list, and I was so thrilled when that trip actually happened! So there is definitely some merit in thinking about where you want to travel this year. If you have clear dreams and plans, the universe might just conspire to make it happen! This year, my travel wishlist is restricted to specific places in India. I am not planning any international trips by myself, but would be happy if life throws up any surprises in this department! I am trying to save for a backpacking trip across Europe in 2017, so…

Week 39: Dragon Tales

Title: Dragon Tales Location: South Extension, Delhi, India Date: 27 September 2015 “The Dragon thunders in the sky with the sound of compassion that awakens us from delusion and increases what we can know through hearing. Sparkle #7: Happy Bhutan

Hello people! Welcome to the Tuesday Travel post. This week, I am talking about Bhutan – the land of peace, beauty and happiness. Bhutan is located at the eastern end of the Himalayas and often referred to as the ‘land of clouds’ or the ‘land of the thunder dragon’. With a diverse, rich culture, and origins steeped in Buddhism – it has a natural association with peace, zen, happiness and bliss. I got interested in Bhutan when I heard that it evaluates ‘Gross National Happiness’ as an indicator of the nation’s success, thus taking into consideration non-economic aspects of prosperity along with the regular economic factors. I personally…
