Sparkle #176: Make your Monday Happy!

Happy Monday folks! I am not feeling very happy or excited this morning and could do with some sunshine to brighten things up. The year has started on a crazy note, a new job means lots of learning and hence most of my time is currently being consumed at the workplace. I admit that I have been neglecting the blog, my diet, my Yoga and I am also feeling guilty for not staying on track with my resolutions for the year. In short, my life is currently chaotic and chaos always makes me feel uneasy. I wanted to do a valentines post this week, but since I am…

There are all kinds of illustrated playing cards – artistic and playful, vintage and contemporary, multicolored as well as black and white and so on – the list is endless! Here are some interesting playing card illustrations which caught my eye, do you like them…

Sparkle #115: Illustrated Travel Maps

We are celebrating illustrated art on the blog this week, and for today’s post I wanted to share my favorite type of travel illustrations – illustrated travel maps! An illustrated map comes in handy when you want to know the character of a place in one quick glance. It highlights top attractions, routes, things to do, places to eat and other quirks for a particular destination in a light and easy to absorb manner. It is fun and colorful to look at it, can be easily stored on your phone as an image or a wallpaper and serves as a quick reminder for key attractions when traveling to…

Sparkle #114: Healthy Living Illustrations

Happy Monday lovelies! This week on the blog we are celebrating illustration art, which means I will be sharing some of my favorite illustrations from different categories with you through the week. I have always been obsessed with good art and design, and illustrations are a personal favorite. Illustration art accompanies some form of text and is used to provide a visual aid to whatever you are reading. Collecting illustrated artwork from older books and magazines is an interesting hobby, and has been gaining popularity in recent times. I personally feel that illustrations are charming, whimsical and artistic at the same time. Older illustrations remind me of…
