Dream, Plan, Do…..And Let Go!

Happy 2023 to my readers – both old and new! There is something about the start of a new year which infuses fresh energy and rigor into our dreams, goals and resolutions. Technically it is just a date change on the calendar, but still we party on the 31st and then magically start eating healthy and working out from the 1st (or atleast I do!).  I was thinking about my 2023 resolutions while binge watching Younger (a TV series I love) when the character of Diana Trout dropped this gem of a quote in Season 6 (watch a clip here): …

Sparkle #150: Buddhist Prayers for Peace

Happy Monday folks! We are soon going to enter the most wonderful time of the year, but my mind is still restless with the events of the last few days. How does one stay positive and peaceful during times of distress? I find that chanting really calms me down, and so for today’s post, I wanted to share some of my favorite chants and prayers with you, hoping they will help you find peace and positivism in the days to come. Week 39: Dragon Tales

Title: Dragon Tales Location: South Extension, Delhi, India Date: 27 September 2015 “The Dragon thunders in the sky with the sound of compassion that awakens us from delusion and increases what we can know through hearing. Trip of a Lifetime: Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh: Part 1

Hello wonderful people and happy Sunday! I woke up feeling real good this morning. It could be because it’s Sunday, or because we have amazing (rainy) weather, or simply because today is the anniversary of my maiden trip to Kashmir, Leh, Ladakh in 2013. If I call Paris my teenage crush, then Kashmir is definitely my first love! I undoubtedly have the travel bug, I fall in love with places in an instant. I was 8 years old when I first discovered the beauty of Kashmir while participating in an art project. It was on my travel list for a long time before I finally got the chance to…

Week 25: One Day, Many Meanings

Title: One Day, Many Meanings Location: Hotel Avasa, Hyderabad Date: 21 June 2015 Today, 21st June, is International Day of Yoga, World Music Day and Father’s Day. I decided not to do a specific post on any of these themes, because for me all three should be an important part of our lives every single day! We don’t need a special day to celebrate our fathers, do Yoga or listen to music. Having said that, dedicating a day to celebrate something is a good reminder of why it is important in our lives. So I hope you took some time today to wish your dad, practice some…
