Sparkle #136: Disco Gypsy at Paris Fashion Week

Fashion Week is upon us again and this time the runway is setup in Paris! My favorite show at Paris has almost always been Manish Arora’s ready to wear Spring Summer preview. Kitschy, psychedelic and colorful – his trademark style is very close to my heart. He never disappoints, and this time was no different! I have always been a fan of his work, check his previous collections here. With a collection labelled ‘Disco Gypsy’, he stayed true to his quirky style but added a whole lot of drama via prominent Indian elements. The exuberantly colored clothes feature a vast array of embellishments and fun details…

Sparkle #124: Dress, Pants or Both?

I stumbled upon this photograph of SJP wearing a dress over pants and it made me wonder if I could pull off this look as well as she does? The dress over pants trend resurfaces every year, typically during spring season. But given how easy breezy and layered the silhouette is, it stays relevant for fall as well. I feel it is a great way to shake things up in your wardrobe and personal style. It is also extremely versatile – you can mix and match to create interesting combinations of prints, fabrics, colors and even silhouettes. This look can be styled for both formal and casual events, plus it is really comfortable…

Sparkle #108: A Pink & Blue Summer

I am in love with two colors this summer: dreamy lavender pink and ice cold blue. There’s something about pairing pink and blue together, whichever shade or hue you might pick, it almost always works! And when you pair lighter shades of pink and blue, you get a palette which is fresh, happy and adds the perfect pop of color to a hot summer day. These two colors remind me of all things pleasant: cherry blossoms, cotton candy and Disney princesses! They have a surreal and vintage vibe to them, so make sure you pair these two whenever you want to channel your inner Cinderella! To celebrate my love for these…

Sparkle #104: Cool Summer Sunglasses

I love sunglasses! They are probably my all time favorite fashion accessory. They have definite functional and fashion benefits which makes them an essential part of any wardrobe. They protect our eyes from sunburn and prevent early wrinkles by helping us avoid squinting. A good pair of shades can be used to glam up any outfit, enhance your features and flaunt new trends without getting overwhelmed. In short, sunglasses help you make an individual style statement and stay in vogue! I own five pairs of sunglasses and I am still drooling over the styles below! These sunglasses are a perfect way to dial up your cool quotient this summer. I already brought…
