The Best Work From Home Wear: Athleisure

Hello there and welcome to my first post in the lockdown alphabet series. As mentioned before, over the next couple of weeks, I will be doing a series of posts on all things that made me happy or optimistic during this lockdown. And to keep things fun, I am following an alphabetical order!  I am kicking this off with A for “Athleisure”, a clothing trend I am so grateful I rediscovered during this lockdown! And a trend that helps keep Work From Home (WFH) attire comfortable, yet stylish. How, you ask? Well let me explain.  What is Atheleisure?  Athelesiure is…

Sparkle #191: Hot Right Now – Quirky Novelty Bags

Quirky, novelty bags are everywhere – on the ramp, on the screen and on your favorite celebrity. If you want to make a big, bold and bright style statement, a novelty bag is a must have in your wardrobe. It is one of the best ways to mix up playfulness with high street fashion! I have been lusting after these bags for a while now, and the Kate Spade and Accessorize ones are right on top of my wishlist. What do you think of this trend, would you buy a novelty bag or do you think they are too tacky to carry? Let me know via comments below!…

Sparkle #187: Floral Dresses for a Romantic Summer

Summer is around the corner, and what better way to update your style than with a fresh and flirty floral dress? I love floral prints and am always looking for an excuse to incorporate them in my wardrobe. Floral dresses (especially maxis) make for soft, romantic silhouettes and instantly add a vintage charm to your look. Free People has some amazing floral dresses in it’s latest collection. I love the retro, bohemian vibe of all their clothes and would buy any of these dresses in a heartbeat. In order of appearance from top left: Printed Dylan Dress, $374 | Caroline Pleated Mini, $300 | Bardot Printed Maxi, $300 | Santa Rosa Maxi, $277 | Marigold Maxi, $198…

Sparkle #179: Pant Suits in Bright Colors

Nothing says business quite like a tailored and well fitted pant suit! I am not much of a jeans/pants person – I prefer dresses over jeans any day. In fact it’s been a while since I brought a regular pair of jeans, I swear by my Uniqlo jeggings and have them in more than 1 color! But the one item of clothing I have always lusted after but never really owned is a nice pant suit. From a business meeting to a night out – a good pant suit can get you through any event and that too, comfortably. There are two…

Sparkle #174: Rose Quartz & Serenity Mood Board

Pantone recently released it’s colors for 2016, and I am delighted! Rose quartz and serenity make for a light and airy combination which can not only exist by itself, but also easily mix with other colors to create eye catching palettes. That sounds believable, doesn’t it? I mean, how can a dash of pink and blue not work at creating magic? This is probably the first time Pantone released two shades as their colors of the year. Their website states that the two colors together symbolize balance, compassion and relaxation – expressions very relevant to the times we are living in. While Marsala, their color for 2015, denoted energy and action, these colors call out for…
