Hello there!

I am Jyo, and this blog is an endeavor to collect and share daily sparkle and cheer from around the internet.

A Quick Intro

I work in digital media, and am deeply inspired by all forms of visual communication. Simply said, I love collecting and sharing images, designs, motifs. I have multiple interests and hobbies mostly connected with the arts, movies, music, fashion, photography and travelling. I am also a health and fitness freak, happily devoted to a daily Yoga practice.

This Blog

Our lives are moving at an incredibly fast pace, and so many of the beautiful memories we make get lost with the passage of time. The internet is a wonderful place to explore, discover and share ideas which is why I decided to blog and preserve some of these moments. This keeps me happy, positive and interested in the wonder that is life, and I hope some of these might inspire you as well.

The Unusual Name

The idea for this blog originated during my trip to Leh, when we stopped for lunch at the Pumpernickel German Bakery. Somewhere in the middle of finishing my coffee and cake, I felt extremely happy, blessed, grateful and at peace. I knew these feelings would pass once I was back to the city, and it was then that I decided to chronicle these moments to create a repository of gratitude and inspiration for the future. The name thus is a happy ode to the place where the idea first originated.

Blog Sections

I blog about a lot of different topics and also create collections of resources and links around specific areas of interest. You can browse this blog by the following categories:

Daily Muchness: This is where I usually share events and happenings from my day to day life. It might be a personal challenge, an exercise or diet plan I am following, postcards from a recent trip or just my observations and thoughts on life. The word ‘muchness’ was taken from a passage in Lewis Carol’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and refers to innocence and imagination as observed in children. You can browse by date or category depending on what interests you!

Daily Sparkle: This is where I collect and curate my favorite sparkle from around the web. The internet is such a fascinating place – you never know what you will stumble upon! I browse the web a lot, so I decided to share my favorite finds by creating collections around defined themes on distinct days, as mentioned below.

Inspired Mondays: Every Monday, I put together a collection of inspirational quotes and affirmations connected with positive living, spirituality, health and body, zen and meditation.

Travel Tale Tuesdays: Tuesdays is when I collate resources or guides which might interest me when traveling and exploring a particular destination.

In Vogue Wednesdays: On Wednesdays, I create mood-boards on a specific theme from the arts – movies, music, books, fashion and design.

Leisurely Thursdays: As the name suggests, Thursdays are for exploring hobbies and collating links which pertain to any one of my areas of interest – crafts, crochet, owls, DIY, photography, weddings and more.

Googlebun Fridays: Every Friday I create an assortment of top links from the many random, interesting things I read on the internet. The inspiration for the name came from Enid Blyton’s book ‘The Faraway Tree’, where Google Buns refers to a particular bun with a hidden filling which leads to a real surprise, but always with great taste. Like the character Moon-Face says in the book “Come and eat a Google Bun and see what you think of it”.

Image Use Disclaimer

A lot of times I share images or content from other bloggers or resources on the internet, and I always credit the source (where available and possible). In the event that you feel there is something featured on my blog which is not credited or wrongly credited, or if you find that I have used something from your website which you would like me to remove, please drop me a note. I will happily accommodate your request.

In the same vein, feel free to share images and content from my personal posts, but please do link back and retain the watermark on all personal images (it’s really tiny so shouldn’t be a bother!).

Please do take a moment to read about my Disclosure Policy, Privacy Policy as well as related Terms and Conditions here. I would be happy to find opportunities for collaboration with like minded brands and individuals. Hello Pumpernickel Pixie,

My name is Ashleigh with Native Graphics. We are offering a unique service to publishers such as yourself and I wanted to get in touch and see if https://pumpernickelpixie.com/ would be a good fit.

We help connect publishers with advertisers looking to get eyeballs on their visual content.

We pay a flat fee for graphic and video content placement that is sponsored.
    No CPM constraints!
    No ad placement issues!

We send you an offer that fits your audience with the payout amount (between $75 and $500 per placement) and you can accept or decline based on the quality of the infographic. Your payout will take place monthly for the earnings that month.

We have been able to place up to 10 pieces of content a month on publisher sites, and drive them new revenue that not only doesn’t effect their current advertising relationships, but actually gets them content that their users will love and drives them more traffic.

If you are interested, can you fill out this form? http://native.graphics/publishers/

It will allow us to see where you come out in terms of desired pricing so we can send offers that best fit you. You can also check out some of our previous work on the site.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Sincerely Yours,
    Publisher Management Team
