Victory of Good over Evil

India celebrated the festival of Dussehra last week. Dussehra is a very popular festival which celebrates many events – the victory of good king Rama over demon king Ravana, the victory of goddess Durga over the demon Mahishasur, the festival of Navratri and the nine divine nights of fasting as well as a couple of other mythical happenings from across the country. It also marks the beginning of winter and kick starts the festive season in India, with Diwali being the next big celebration around the corner. The underlying message across each of the above events is the same – the festival of Dussehera celebrates the victory of good over evil.…

Sparkle #109: Owl Dreamcatchers!

Do you like dreamcatchers? I absolutely love them and have more than one hanging in my study right now! Dreamcatchers have their origin in native american culture, and have of late been popularized by New Age groups and individuals. A dreamcatcher is traditionally a good luck charm which is hung over the beds of children so it can catch and filter out all bad dreams and allow only good thoughts to enter the mind. I feel that it is even more relevant in today’s times. We all need a dreamcatcher in our lives, so that we wake up to positivity and happiness every morning! I have dreamcatchers in my…
