Happy Monday bright people! I am back after another week of traveling, and cannot wait to share vignettes and stories from my trip with you. Travel last week was focused on learning and development, as I took time off from work to attend a soft skills training. The training was geared towards introspection and cultivating awareness of different personality types – our own as well as others. My top takeaways from the sessions – be mindful, listen more, respect time and do more of what makes you happy! This week, I wanted to share this info-graphic from Buzzfeed which has some amazing life quotes from fictional characters. Although these first appeared in kids entertainment programs, they probably make for more sound advice than anything adults can offer. Each one of these is worth a read, and remembering them first thing in the morning will help start the day on a positive note! Travel inspiration can strike anywhere – over a conversation, in a movie, through a book or from the internet! I recently stumbled across these delightful city illustrations from the Tokyo Illustrators Society and am craving a trip to New York again! Japanese artist Kondo Yoshie put together these colorful and charming city illustrations for a travel book project. Her art is whimsical, beautiful and at the same time very informative, capturing the different nuances of a city in great detail. Happy Monday folks! Another week, another month and another chance at getting it right! It’s the middle of 2015, which makes it a good time to take stock of our January resolutions and the progress we have made on them. As always, I made plenty of resolutions for myself, but have been pretty bad at keeping up with most of them.
