Aloha everyone! Have you heard of the breathtakingly beautiful region of Leh & Ladakh? Ladakh is a part of the mountainous state of Jammu & Kashmir, India, and a visit to the region will leave you mesmerized and speechless. A landscape dotted with amazing peaks, flowing rivers, mighty glaciers and bright blue skies – nature at its untamed best! Add to it the simple lifestyle, Buddhist culture (Ladakh is known to have the largest number of monasteries), rich food and you have a recipe for the most amazing travel experience ever!
I was very fortunate to visit this magical land in August 2013, and will share memories from my trip in a post soon! This trip touched my soul, giving me tremendous happiness and peace; it even inspired the name for this blog!
The picturesque landscape of Leh & Ladakh is best discovered via a road trip. And the extremely funny but meaningful road signs placed by the Indian Border Roads Organisation across the entire route add an interesting highlight to the trip.
