I love carousels! They remind me of my childhood – a simpler and stress free time. Carousel themed accessories add a fun and whimsical touch to any party or event, plus they make for great photo ops! Wouldn’t it be fun to make a carousel centerpiece for your next party? Kathleen of Oh Happy Day shared this amazing DIY of a mini carousel that serves as a decorative centerpiece and play item – it actually spins! This is going to be a fun project for the weekend. More images with step by step instructions are available on her blog linked above. Do you have any fun…
Fashion Week is upon us again and this time the runway is setup in Paris! My favorite show at Paris has almost always been Manish Arora’s ready to wear Spring Summer preview. Kitschy, psychedelic and colorful – his trademark style is very close to my heart. He never disappoints, and this time was no different! The exuberantly colored clothes feature a vast array of embellishments and fun details…
I have mentioned a couple of times how much I love fall and winter. I am also equally fond of spring! However, I don’t like the hot season much. But the one thing I do love about summer is the beach. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I had a fabulous beach vacation at Virginia Beach in May this year. It was the perfect weekend getaway with my wonderful sister, brother in law and amazing niece. My super smart niece has her own blog and she even wrote a post about our trip here! I know I have promised you…
Update: I made the Mocha overnight oats recipe for my breakfast the day after this post and am so excited to tell you all that it tastes exactly like dessert! The tweaks I made – I added cold coffee (instant coffee powder and honey added to cold milk), dark chocolate powder, walnuts, chia seeds and flax seeds to my oats and let them stay overnight. I topped them with some dark chocolate chips in the morning and started my day with an indulgent yet healthy breakfast! They taste really good, and are super quick and easy to make. Definitely try this recipe when you can! Happy Monday everyone! How has October started…
