Hello people, have you heard about the trends predicted for wedding cakes in 2015?
Until some years ago, weddings were a private affair, planned by family members and close friends. But things have changed and how! Planning a wedding is no longer a simple, intimate event – it now requires special attention & detail from event planners, decorators, fashion designers, beauticians, caterers, photographers and several other people. Wedding planning is a lucrative business today and fueling the growth of many industries across the world.
So when every aspect of the wedding is planned with such careful consideration, how can the cake take a backseat?
Beth of Cakes by Beth did a guest post for the website French Wedding Style, where she discussed what options and flavors are going to be popular in 2015. Top trends include metallic cakes, chalkboard cakes, rice paper decorations, sequin cakes, textured cakes and dusky pastels. I have heard of almost all these trends except for chalkboard cakes – this one took me by surprise! Black is an unconventional choice in wedding cake colors, so it was interesting to see it featured on this list. I guess these would complement whimsical styled bohemian weddings well!
